Cradled by Creation
Colossal rocks cocoon me,
Absorbed in midnight shade.
Wet sand caressing my toes,
As Mother Nature cradles me, her son.
Feet dangling off the edge,
A half mile below.
A speck of consciousness
over a volcano ready to explode.
Through Earth's holy water,
I can see the horizon of the Pacific sun.
The sweet aroma, serenity,
With one drop, A restoration of a purified me.
I've discovered a liquid treasure chest,
No one will ever know,
I dare to witness Her sublime,
Acquiesce to Her tranquility,
Here, released: I am.
She nurses me in God's creation.
Unleashed
Virgin set, echo of footsteps.
Onto a blank page,
Velvet chairs in silence stare,
When will the curtains be raised?
A frame for the canvas I'll soon paint
With my feet, a whimsical escapade.
Locked in a shadow box still a spectacle I will proudly create,
They watch me - the lioness - can't wait to be amazed.
Metal grinding on wheels, slowly opening...
I'm unleashed from my cage.
Cherish
At sunset, the light would reflect off the towers & veil the entire skyline in gold as a bright cross would appear between them.
At the time, we saw the beauty. Then, we experienced the tragedy. Now, we express the strength and faith thriving from a shared memory across the nation.
A memory stronger then that of destruction and devastation. A memory of united revelation: Life, in itself, is all the gold we could ever have.
We Run For Freedom
Jumping hurdles,
We escape.
Fears vanish,
The world blurs,
We up our pace.
Till past & present can't be traced.
For a future,
That's worth the chase.
To find our speed,
To win our peace.
We run for the freedom,
to let our Hearts race.
To the victims of the Boston Marathon Tragedy on April 15th 2013...
See you at the finish line.
